Flavors of Louisiana: Reviews & Ratings
Y’all! I felt like a was eating at my step mama’s kitchen table. She’s from Bourbon St. I got the Seafood Gumbo and Red Beans and Rice. I have found my new favorite restaurant in Boone County. And let’s talk about the service. Our server was extremely personable and never let our drinks get empty. Thank you for blessing my taste buds and my soul!
I walked in with no in my heart and cobbler on my mind. Once we were greeted by the friendly staff, I saw the delicacies they had to offer, my heart swelled with positivity and my stomach satisfied with a savory meal such that I could only attained in creole country itself, the kitchen tried to upgrade my meal once the salad was delayed, the drinks kept coming until I had to turn them down. River, our waiter, was great and perfect level of charismatic, taking more than a casual interest in us. On top of all this, the ownership was on the floor taking care of business with an interest. Given the opportunity, I would go out of my way to eat here again.
Stopped in for lunch and had the Jolie Blon. It was fantastic! It really was authentic Cajun flavor. Best I’ve found since leaving the gulf coast. I will definitely be returning and bringing friends.
this is a very nice spacious clean well maintained. We were served by River who was such a sincere and excellent waiter. we had the alligator appetizer which was delicious. I had shrimp creole, and my husband had jambalaya, the portions are very generous . the highlight of the evening. was the banana pudding!! very glad we tried Flavors of Louisiana, we will be back. THANK YOU RIVER!!
Lunch here today was incredible. Whitney was our server and she was great. Everything I had was so good and tasted like Louisiana home-cooking. Everything is made in-house and the cheese cake was phenomenal. Will definitely be back!
Look at my past reviews. I don't pull punches and have only given out 2 five stars in over a decade. The food here is legit! Freshly cooked, full flavor with true Louisiana spirit. We have the fries pickles, gumbo and jambalaya. Sunday afternoon, after folks in here. Ambiance is clean. Highly recommended 4
I finally got to try the food here after salivating over it since I first heard of it being here! And even after taking the good to go, it was fresh tasting, delicious and hot the spot! It's definitely worth a trip to Harrison if you aren't close and considering the drive. Looking forward to my next visit, as there are several more items I can't wait to try, unlike most restaurants these days where it's hard to find even one item worth eating!
My wife and I stopped in first time, they were busy with 2 servers, which is understandable if service is a little slow other than that she was wonderful, the food was delicious, y’all’s sweet tea needs work :) it’s the best fried catfish in town. The fried gator was fried perfectly it was still tender and not rubber. The gumbo was real gumbo not shrimp stewed in tomato sauce like most places do, we have eaten a lot of Cajun food and this compares to some of the best…
